From 25-27 March 2014 the Project Summit Team had the privilege of camping with the ladies from Parktown Girls High.
The Grade 8 group travelled to Motsomi, close to Hammanskraal, where they did activities like Blind Soccer, Spider’s Web and A-Frame. The girls also put on an amazing fashion show, where they were only allowed to use newspaper, waste bags and sellotape to dress their models.
Castle Getaway, situated close to Cullinan, hosted the girls from the Grade 9 group who took on the Project Summit Survivor Challenge. They took part in an Obstacle Course, had to solve an invisible maze, and manufactured a small bridge. The girls also had the opportunity to play some of the Project Summit Seconds to Success games.
The girls from the Grade 10 group visited Sediba Kwele in the Northwest Province to take on the Project Summit Eco Challenge. This included Rafting, Wall Climbing, and the Superhero Challenge. They also took part in the Project Summit Weakest Link Challenge and astounded the team with their enthusiasm.
The luxurious Meulstroom, situated close to Bronkhorstspruit, was the home for the Grade 11’s. Here they took part in Trust Games, built Rockets, and even had to solve a maze while blindfolded.
Across the board the Project Summit Team thoroughly enjoyed working with the students from Parktown Girls High and look forward to doing so in future.
